Sinopsis

This Publication comes together the exhibition Atelier 17 and Modern engraving of the Americas, a partnership between MACUSP and Terra Foundation for American Art. It comes from the study of Nelson Rockefeller”s donations for the creation of art museums in Brazil, the exhibition opens room for reflection about the presence of American printmaking in South America, its impact and the establishment of museums of modern art and contemporary 20th century Brazil, themes explored in the texts collected in this volume. It contains glossary and list of works.
