Synopsis

The book Urbanistic Experiments in Contemporary Brazil is the result of collective work by the researchers from the Laboratory for Urbanistic Experiments (LEU) and aims to discuss the technical, political and reflective experimentation of plans and projects. The book presents
nine experiments developed by eight public universities in twelve municipalities distributed in all five macro-regions of the country. The content is organized into three sections in order to provide independent readings of each section. In Section 01, the reader can learn details of each of the nine experiments through technical datasheets; Section 02 presents six chapters that problematize the main topics common to each of the experiments; and Section 03 contains critical dialogues with thinkers, researchers,  managers and academics that provide important data and conclusions on national and international public policies. The purpose is to provide a reading whose path is defined by the interests of the reader given the diversity of subjects due to the continental dimension of Brazil.
