This collective work results from the articulated effort of dozens of Graduate Programs in Environmental Sciences in Brazil, in partnership with other institutions, which mobilized the academic community in the systematization of teaching, research, innovation, and extension experiences linked to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. It brings together more than 60 practices, expressing the territorial, institutional, and thematic diversity that characterizes this field of action. It should be emphasized that the Good Practices presented here do not result from a ranking process. This work also positions itself as a concrete contribution to COP-30, here
referred to as the COP in the Amazon, to be held in Belém do Pará in 2025,
an event that represents a milestone in international negotiations on climate change and sustainability. By bringing together practices and reflections developed by Graduate Programs across all regions of Brazil, the book offers a qualified synthesis of experiences aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the search for science-based solutions to contemporary socio-environmental challenges. Thus, it aims to support public and academic debate, highlighting the role of environmental sciences in policy formulation and in the implementation of actions for a just and sustainable climate transition.
